Premier League club Arsenal beat Manchester City 3-1 in a friendly in Helsinki, even as new Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini boasted to fans on Thursday that spending 100 million pounds in transfers had given him the best squad in the Premier League.

According to the Mirror, Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud all came out on top in one-on-ones with Joe Hart as Arsene Wenger's men gave a sell-out crowd in the Olympic Stadium a real exhibition of top-class finishing.

Pellegrini said later that City had a lot of chances to score but could not while Arsenal just had three or four chances and they scored three, adding that his team had problems defending but would try to improve this week.

Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said that although it was only a friendly, his team's attitude was very good and they were highly focused, adding that the win would lift their confidence.
