Former left-arm spinner and current head coach of Lancashire Ashley Giles believes that England have reached a new low in the aftermath of eight-wicket humiliating defeat to New Zealand during their World Cup group stage game in Wellington.

Asserting that Morgan's men are low on confidence, Giles said that it was probably never been this bad, adding that it was their biggest defeat ever in a World Cup game, the BBC reported.

Eoin Morgan's men lost opening two games of their World Cup campaign, and will next meet Scotland on Monday in Christchurch.

Warning England to be wary of Scotland threat, Giles said that the Scots gave New Zealand a good run in the end, adding that it was a real potential banana skin.
