England star all-rounder Moeen Ali is looking forward to follow in the footsteps of India's fearless batting and risk it all in hopes of claiming the World Cup glory next year.

England must take on a 'fearless' approach according to Ali or watch another World Cup chance pass them by. After watching and suffering at the hands of the reigning world champions this summer, thanks to their brilliant, and aggressive batting, Ali wants his side to follow suit.

The conservative approach has long been a feature of England's ODI cricket, but ahead of a seven-match tour to Sri Lanka, Ali is keen to practice what he preaches, The Mirror reported.

Ali provided a glimpse of the wristy attacking stroke-play that he could provide in scoring 67 from 50 balls in an ODI against India earlier this summer, but he wants to see more of the same from others.

The all-rounder said that he didn't play in the first three games and watched the way India batted, adding that they took a risk when they needed to and the biggest thing he got out of that was how fearless they were.

He said that the Indians just went out and backed themselves, adding that one could see a massive difference between the way they batted and the way England batted. He also said that Indian batsmen go out and really express themselves.

Ali believes that England needs to be like that as well. He strongly feels that England has the players to do that, all they need is the confidence to do it. Ali claimed that England batsmen mustn't be afraid of making a mistake, adding that one is going to make a mistake, but they don't be afraid of it.
