24-12-14. This date, month, year will keep haunting Rajhans Vidyalaya (Andheri) 27-year-old coach Niyaz Warsi.

It was on this day that his team got out for a record four runs against Yashodham High School in the Plate Group final of the Harris Shield Inter-School Cricket Tournament, at Shivaji Park on Wednesday.

Yes, you read it right – four all out. Out of 10 batsmen nine were back home without opening their account, one batsman scored a couple while the rest came through extras (leg byes).

For Yashodham High School, Goregaon, Gaurang Sachar scalped six and Ryan Thomas four without conceding a run, helping their register an innings and 187-run win over the Andheri school.

"I don't know what happened. This has completely shocked me," said coach Warsi after the game.

"The wickets kept falling. I could do nothing but watch helplessly," he added.

"Being a player I have seen a lot of ups and downs, but this has only made me question the destiny, why me?" he asked.

Warsi, however, doesn't want to take this too seriously. "I don't want the boys to take the pressure. Immediately after the game, I told them that this is a part and parcel of the game and one has to go through it and face the reality. I hope this will make my players stronger and become better," he added.

A club cricketer Warsi said the parents were blaming him. "I don't know why, but they were questioning me what have I taught them. We made it to the finals of the Plate Group and suddenly something like this happened. I did not have the answer to it," said Warsi.

Defending his team, he said: "Boys were mostly busy in tuitions and studies. My team has boys mostly from the Under-14 team. The net sessions too happen only once or twice in a week, so its difficult to prepare them."
"However, I want the boys to take this performance as a lesson to come back stronger next time," he said.

Meanwhile, a player who was a part of the team said he was disappointed. "I won't read the newspapers. It was disappointing. But we will work hard and will comeback with a better performance. We promise," he said.

Rajhans Vidyalaya (Andheri) 56 all out (Sachin Singh 3/5, Ryan Thomas 3/6) & 4 all out (Gaurang Sachar 6/0, Ryan Thomas 4 /0) lost to Yashodham High School(Goregaon) 247 all out (Vinay Kanwar 53, Gaurang Sanchar 85)
