Kimi Raikkonen's 2014 future maybe in doubt but at Spa-Francorchamps, the Finn is the favourite to win the race.
On Thursday, the 2007 World Champion was to address the media but illness prevented him from joining other drivers. Lotus confirmed in the morning that Raikkonen would not be attending the press conference as he was unwell.
The driver market for 2014 holds Raikkonen as the key as his decision to move to Red Bull would call it quits for Daniel Ricciardo's ambitions to replace Mark Webber. Rumours say that Raikkonen's talks with Red Bull have failed and Ricciardo will be triple World Champion Sebastian Vettel's teammate.
Raikkonen has also been linked to Ferrari where he won the 2007 World Championship in his first year at the team. Felipe Massa has been a non-performer and is most likely going to lose his drive for the team in 2014.
Lotus, Raikkonen's current employers are looking to extend the driver's contract that expires at the end of this season.
The Finn is expected to be in action on Friday in the free practise.
