Stealing the show has been a daily thing for sprinter Usain Bolt, but achieving the "triple-triple" put him on the pedestal with some of the legendary Olympians of all time. Usain's triple-triple was sealed when he won the 4x100m relay final. This was also his final Olympic run.

Shuttler PV Sindhu's final battle with Carolina Marin of Spain also had the spotlight. After three close sets Marin emerged victorious and Sindhu got the silver medal for India.

Usain Bolt put the seal on a glittering Olympic career on Friday with a blistering 4x100m relay victory that clinched Bolt's first ever 'triple triple'.

With his third straight 100m, 200m and 4x100m victory, or a triple triple, Bolt joins the league of Carl Lewis and Paavo Nurmi on a record-equalling nine track and field Olympic gold medals.
