CLOSE SHAVE for Maxwell. Smith comes down the track, the ball strikes his pads and reaches Umar Akmal at backward point, Maxwell was half way down the pitch trying to steal a single and Akmal takes a shy at the non-striker's stumps and misses. That was a gonner had he hit.
