Another fascinating day of cricket comes to an end with a total of 12 wickets going down. South Africa end at 11-2 at stumps. Ashwin and Jadeja have brought India right back in the game after their batsmen failed to put a big total on the board.

04:50 PM

OUT! Jadeja gets into the act this time, knocks over Tahir with a straight delivery which pitches on off and goes on to the hit the off stump. Tahir misjudges the line completely. India up and running again.

04:46 PM

Tahir survives a close stumping appeal. Wriddhiman Saha whips the bails off in a flash after Tahir misses an Ashwin delivery and replays show that his foot was on the line but the third umpire decides to give the benefit of doubt to the batsman

04:38 PM

Imran Tahir walks to the middle as a night watchman

OUT! Ravichandran Ashwin strikes in his very second over. India's premier off-spinner bowls a off break which pitches on middle and turns away, Stiaan van Zyl stays on his crease and plays straight, it takes his outside edge and Ajinkya Rahane completes an easy catch at first slip.

04:09 PM

OUT! Imran Tahir bowls Ashwin off the googly. 215/9.

OUT! It's the end. Everyone's favourite Amit Mishra is out, and India are all out for 215. Harmer gets 4/78.

India have been bowled out for another paltry score - 215 - after being 50/0. South Africa will have around 10 overs to bat tonight.

03:54 PM

OUT! Harmer strikes again. Tossed up on middle, after 105 balls of concentration, Saha runs down and plays a loose flick to midwicket. 32 off 106. This has been the tale of the Indian innings today. A lot of batsmen have got starts and not go on to score big.

03:37 PM

Wriddhiman Saha has lasted more deliveries than anyone this innings, playing out 98 balls for his 27. Ashwin is on 6. India are 195/7. There are 19 overs still left in the innings, but it is unlikely that they will be completed.

03:15 PM

OUT! Ravindra Jadeja is gone. Rabada gets him. Full and wide, Jadeja's eyes light up and he goes for a booming drive. The ball sneaks in off the inside edge and sends off and middle stumps flying. Another promising innings nipped in the bud. Jadeja falls for 34.

03:01 PM

India have progressed to 170/6. Ravindra Jadeja, Sir Jadeja, has played a fluent innings of 34, taking on the spinners. Wriddhiman Saha is giving him stoic support on 18.

02:18 PM

India have struggled to 149/6 at tea on Day 1, after being 50/0 at one stage. Morne Morkel ripped the heart out of the Indian batting after spinners Dean Elgar and Stephen Harmer did the early damage. This pitch is not too treacherous either. How many can India get from here?

01:39 PM

OUT! Rohit Sharma is gone. Ball spins to outside leg, Rohit Sharma gets a huge inside edge and AB de Villiers at leg slip takes it. India 125/6.

01:05 PM

OUT! It's the end of Virat Kohli, who was struggling as well. Morne Morkel has claimed his third wicket. Kohli plays from the crease without moving his feet, the ball takes the outside edge and AB takes the catch happily. India 116/5.

12:56 PM

OUT! Ajinkya Rahane has fallen and Morne Morkel is the destroyer again. Ball pitched just outside off on a good length and seamed in at the perfect moment. Rahane played on the up and through the initial line, and was bowled. India 115/4.

12:25 PM

OUT! Cheteshwar Pujara is gone. LBW to Stephen Harmer, who harmed India in the first Test quite a lot as well. What is wrong with India's batting? India 94/3.

11:34 AM

India reach lunch at 85/2. Virat Kohli has survived a few tense moments. Cheteshwar Pujara seems to be in decent touch. Overall a mixed session for India that started well. A shared session.

11:08 AM

OUT! Murali Vijay is gone. Beauty of an inswinger from Morne Morkel. Pitched on off, swung back in sharply off a fullish length. Vijay played for the straight one. Plumb. Vijay makes 40. India 69/2.

10:38 AM

OUT! Shikhar Dhawan is gone, again, cheaply. Down the track, plays early and Elgar takes a good caught and bowled. Dhawan makes just 12. He had played the last ball in similar fashion and hit it on the bounce to Elgar.

India 50/1.

10:25 AM

DRINKS. India are 48/0 after 13 overs.

10:24 AM

SIX! Murali Vijay has gone big into the stands. He moves to 31. Dhawan is on 11. India 47/0 after 11 overs.

10:13 AM

Consecutive boundaries for Murali Vijay, who moves up to 21. India 33/0 after 8 overs, motoring along. The pitch looks flat.

09:59 AM

India have gained momentum, with both Dhawan and Vijay hitting the ball confidently. The cover drives are coming out, but the boundary seems to be long and the SA fielding is good. India 22/0.

South Africa have the longest unbeaten streak in away series ever. They have not lost the last 15 away series, in 9 years. Now they are 1-0 down.

09:47 AM

India have proceeded to 7/0 after 3 overs. A slow start, and Dhawan finally got an edgy boundary off the last ball of the 3rd over. Murali Vijay is struggling a bit, got hit nastily on the arm once.
