Parvez Rasool is a happy man. The 20-year-old Jammu & Kashmir cricketer has left behind the ghosts of his Bangalore trip, and is ready to visit the city again. Rasool was detained by the Bangalore police on October 17 at Chinnaswamy stadium, after they detected traces of explosives in his kitbag. In an exclusive chat with DNA, Rasool -- who has been proven innocent after the FSL report gave him a clean chit -- pours his heart out:

FSL report has given you a clean chit...
I always knew that I would get a clean chit. I have done no wrong. Initially, I was upset but I knew that the truth would come out. You can never bury the truth; and today everyone knows I am clean.

Do you have any complaints against the Bangalore police?
I won't blame them since everyone's destiny is written by Allah and He is the only one who decides on what happens to every individual. Today, I have been proven innocent, but I request the police not to let such things happen to anyone else, be it a cricketer or a common man. A small mistake can destroy someone's life.

Do you still have bitter memories of the incident?
I won't lie. When the incident happened, I was completely shattered. I had heard so much about Bangalore that I always wanted to visit the city. But I was never expecting my first trip there to be such a nightmare. After the match in Bangalore, I had a lot of bitter memories, but now it's a closed chapter.

Will you come to Bangalore again?
Certainly, I will visit Bangalore again. As I said, I always wanted to visit Bangalore and whatever happened is a thing of the past. The National Cricket Academy is situated in Bangalore and every Indian cricketer wants to play there.

Did the incident affect your game?
No. It has not affected my game at all. Since I had done no wrong, I wanted to focus on my cricket. I even scored a half-century in Bangalore immediately after the incident. In the next match against Mumbai, I scored half centuries in both innings, and also picked up a few wickets.
