US coach sends out a 'get out of work card' on Twitter allowing employees to watch the USA v/s Germany match

Thursday, 26 June 2014 - 5:21pm IST | Place: Mumbai | Agency: DNA Webdesk

Jurgen Klinsmann, the US coach and former Germany player, sent out an excuse letter to companies urging them to give their employees the day off, allowing them to watch the 'Critical' match between USA and Germany on Thursday.

To whom it may concern:

Please excuse (insert name) from work on Thursday, June 26th. I understand that this absence may reduce the productivity of your workplace, but I can assure you that it is for an important cause. The #USMNT has a critical World Cup game vs. Germany and we will need the full support of the nation if we are to advance to the next round. By the way, you should act like a good leader and take the day off as well. Go USA!

Of course the hashtag #LetsDoThis went viral, and created a storm on Twitter. Looks like everyone wants Thursday off.
