Spain manager Vicente del Bosque has reportedly suggested that his side has still got it, dismissing suggestions that the squad is past their best, as they attempt to win a fourth consecutive major tournament at the World Cup in Brazil.

The defending champions will get their campaign under way against the Netherlands on Friday in Salvador in a repeat of the final four years ago in South Africa, which was decided by Andres Iniesta's solitary goal during extra-time.

According to Sport24, Del Bosque said that Spain has a mature team and young players; they are not afraid of anything and are in their prime.

Del Bosque added that he does not have any fear for the future either, because Spain has an under-21 team that is winning things and there are plenty of replacements that would ensure a bright future.
