British comedian John Oliver who recently commented on the Lok Sabha Elections, has this time decided to comment on the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2014 to be held in Brazil. The comedian goes on to talk about FIFA and how soccer is considered as a religion in some countries like Columbia and Brazil. He says, if soccer is a religion, FIFA is the church for football fans. Oliver also takes a jibe at FIFA which was recently accused of bribery for the 2022 World Cup allocation to Qatar.

He also brings to light the fact that FIFA has actually made countries bend their laws in support of the tournament's sponsors by introducing something called the 'Budweiser Bill' in Brazil. The bill basically permits the sale of beer in soccer stadiums. In the past too, FIFA has set up what is come to be known as 'FIFA World Cup courts' in South Africa during the last World Cup.
