Users who usually land on the search engine's homepage will be able to see Google's doodle in reference to the 2014 FIFA World Cup that is being held in Brazil. When selected the homepage takes you to the live updates and scores of the football matches.

Google inaugurated the FIFA World Cup 2014 tournament by launching a doodle with a football bouncing into the screen and letters of the logo which seems like fans cheering. The football is coloured yellow and green, similar to that of the host country- Brazil's national flag.

Today, Google's 15th Doodle takes it's inspiration from the favelas of Rio. The doodle depicts a colourful sketch of Rio's slums with the letters 'GOOGLE' forming an off-kilter wall of favela houses aligned in a row where the letter "L" represents someone kicking a football against a wall.
