Hackers on Tuesday put a cartoon of the back injury suffered by Brazilian star Neymar on the website of leading World Cup goalscorer James Rodriguez.
Neymar was ruled out of the World Cup with a fractured vertebrae suffered when Colombia defender Juan Zuniga kneed him in the back in the quarter final between their countries.
Colombian media said Brazilian hackers had put the image of a manga-style warrior attacking Neymar onto the official website of Rodriguez (www.jamesrodriguez.com.co).
Brazil had demanded a disciplinary investigation into Zuniga's tackle but FIFA decided to take no action. Zuniga expressed deep regret for the injury suffered but insisted he did not act negligently.
The hacking was claimed by a group called [IN]SecInjcetion.
Ironically Rodriguez, one of the stars of the tournament and is still the top scorer with five goals, received especially rough treatment during the match which went largely unpunished by the much criticised Spanish referee Carlos Velasco Carballo.
