Portugal's top rated player at Euro 2012 was neither Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani, that accolade went to the diminutive, man behind the strikers, Joao Moutinho, one of AS Monaco's millionaire tax exiles. With his silken touch Moutinho has been involved in the national set-up since schoolboy level and first worked with Portugal boss Paulo Bento at Sporting Portugal. After a shocking switch to Porto in 2010 he won three straight league titles and the Europa League in 2011. His current club coach Claudio Ranieri has not shirked from dropping him since his 2013, 25 million euros switch to Monaco, suggesting he is too soft. But he is the perfect ammunition provider for his prolific international teammate Ronaldo, despite his own lack of goals.
