#Brazinga2014: This world cup season, Ab ki bar...?

Sunday, 8 June 2014 - 7:10am IST | Place: Pune | Agency: dna

As the clock strikes 11:30 in the night, all football fans watching the World Cup matches at sports bars, lounges and restaurants in Pune will not be able to quench their thirst for the game. Wondering why? Well not because their favourite team lost but because it's time to down the shutters.

Owing to the deadline, all the restaurants will have shut down by 11:30 which is something the owners rue as they will be missing out on all the exciting matches which are usually telecast post 9:30 pm.

Replay Sports Bar is trying to extend the time limit to 2 am. "We are trying to convince the officials so that fans can enjoy late night matches," said Siddharth Lolayeker, manger of Replay Sports Bar.

Screening of FIFA world cup matches will be shown in different sports bars across Pune despite the time bar. Various sports bars have approached the authorities to seek permission to increase the time limit so that they can screen the late night matches.

"We will be screening matches till 12:30 am during the FIFA world cup," said Ratish Shetty, Cashier, Green Court, Wanowrie.
