So that brings to end a humdinger of a contest which Chennai clinched by a solitary run. Albie Morkel's heroic 73 was the highlight of Delhi's innings and though he could not pull off a 'Miandad', still he ensured that his side were there in the game till the fag end.

Though the MS Dhoni led CSK are bogged by off-field controversies, still the two-time champions will be expected to win this contest.

Delhi coach Gary Kirsten has promised to put behind ghosts of the previous edition of IPL, and is expecting a stellar show come edition eight.
