Argentina v/s Brazil: Brazil overpower Argentina to win 2-0

FIFA World Cup 2014 runner ups Argentina are set to take on Brazil in a friendly game at the Bird's Nest stadium in Beijing on Saturday.

Both teams are coming fresh off recent successes, as Argentina beat their World Cup final conquerers Germany 4-2 at Dusseldorf recently, whereas Brazil too notched up a brace of wins against Colombia and Eucador in their last two friendly matches.

The most notable inclusions for this high profile fixture are that of Robinho and Kaka, who were not part of the Brazilian team for the 2014 World Cup.

Robinho and Kaka will be aiming to make an impression against the old enemy and a good performance will probably silence critics who have ear marked them as a spent force.

Brazil, who were thumped 7-1 by Germany in the 2014 World Cup semifinal at Belo Horizonte, also have a change in managerial guard with Carlos Dunga replacing Luis Felipe Scolari.

Thiago Silva and Hulk will miss the game due to injury issues whereas ace defender Maicon too will sit out owing to a disciplinary ban imposed on him.

The two new inclusions for the 'Selecao' will be defenders Mario Fernandes and Dodo, who will bolster the depleted Brazilian back line, as the game gives them an opportunity to pit their skills against the likes of Angel Di Maria and Lionel Messi.

David Luiz will spearhead the Brazilian defence, whereas Phillipe Coutinho and Neymar will try to prise open the tough Argentinian defence.

Coming to Argentina, the 'La Albiceleste' have made changes of their own with Gerardo Martino replacing Alejandro Sabella as team coach and also players like Fernando Gago, Leonel Vangioni and Agustin Marchesin have been added to the current squad.

Messi, who missed the Dusseldorf friendly, is confirmed to start against Brazil and it will be interesting to see as to whether he would succeed in giving the weakened Brazilian defence a tough time.

Carlos Tevez returns to the Argentina squad after completing his international hiatus, and may partner Messi upfront, a combination which will definitely keep Luiz and co on their toes.

The game, originally a two-legged affair played out on a yearly basis, has now been rechristened as the 'Superclasico de las Americas', and is an eagerly awaited fixture amongst fans of the two South American giants.

Now it remains to be seen as to whether Saturday's game turns out to be a typically hotly contested 'Brazil-Argentina' affair, or will it just fizzle out as another deadbeat friendly.
