Wriddhiman Saha has come back from his injury in style, scoring a century in the ongoing Test against Bangladesh, and is giving a problem of plenty to the selectors as far as wicketkeeper-batsman options are concerned.

However, he will fall well short of greatness in the longer run.

That Saha was born during the wrong time is indicated by the exalted Saturn in his horoscope. Despite his immense talent, he had to wait for India’s regular wicketkeeper, the iconic MS Dhoni, to retire to stake a claim for a spot in the national team. Saturn blesses one with gifts in the later part of their careers. Hence, Saha is making the most of his chances when he is well past 30.

However, it is unfortunate that the Bengal wicketkeeper was born during the inauspicious amavasya. Amavasya-born people face challenges with situations which are beyond their control. He is stuck with a low-performing Bengal team in domestic cricket as well as a team that didn’t deliver as much as it promised in the Indian Premier League, Kings XI Punjab.

Thus, expect Saha to be around till 2019 and slowly start fading away from then on. Meanwhile, he will have to battle it out with tough competition from Parthiv Patel before finally leaving the arena either due to an unfortunate injury or due to a young wicketkeeper-batsman taking over.
