The Border-Gavaskar Trophy looks to be heading towards a 4-0 whitewash. One team is doing everything right and the other is doing everything wrong it seems.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is heading towards a white-wash in favour of India with the Indian wins at Chennai, Hyderbad and Mohali. India seem to be in the pink of form with MS Dhoni, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, M Vijay, R Ashwin and new comer to the team Shikhar Dhawan all contributing   in a big way to the wins.

Australia on the other hand have their work cut out. With annhilating defeats as the bowlers failed to get wickets or stop the Indian batsmen and the batsmen struggled to score runs. To add to their misery five player which included vice captain Shane Watson, batsman Usman Khawaja, pacers James Pattinson and Mitchell Johnson were axed from the team for diciplinary reasons.

The axing lead to numerous rumours of a fued between Watson and captain Michael Clarke and the all-rounder also returned home to Australia for the birth of his first child. The team suffered all the more as Pattinson who was the pick of the bowlers was not playing and Philip Hughes who was to be replaced by Khawaja due to bad form wasn't.

The introduction of Steve Smith in the team did help and Mitchell Starc rose to the occasion in Mohali. But at a time when the Australian team is just in the process of being built as the retirements of Michael Hussey and Ricky Ponting have left a huge void, internal differences seem to be causing major damage.

The Indian camp on the other hand was expected to see tensions after Virender Sehwag was dropped and Dhawan was taken as his replacement. But the Delhi lad stepped well into the openers role and smashed a century on debut.

The Indian bowlers and batsmen seem to be performing well as individuals and as a team which is in sharp contrast to the Aussies who seem at sea in both the conditions as well as in their performance with both bat and ball. Mitchell Starc's injury seems to have come at the wrong time as he was in great touch especially with the bat almost scoring a century.

Australia need to pick up the pieces and solve their internal problems if they wish to go home with a win in Delhi as the Border-Gavaskar Trophy has already been lost. India on the other hand just need to continue playing the way they have to win the series 4-0, completely thrashing Australia by such a huge margin for the first time.
