Mumbai: On Friday, the city woke up to the news of death of King of Pop, Michael Jackson, who died of cardiac arrest. The loss has created a vacuum in the music industry, fans tell DNA
No one can ever beat MJ
When I heard the news of Michael Jackson's death only one thing came to my mind and that was the world which was criticising him for his plastic surgery and calling him a pedophile would now shed crocodile tears. The man has seen many ups and downs in his life, especially the last few years. The media and the critics made it even thornier by surrounding him with various controversies. It is because of this stress and tension that he got a cardiac arrest. Now that he is dead, everyone is talking about his contribution towards the music industry. But where were they before this? He was a unique artist with great talent and it is quite impossible to get a star like him again. This is immense loss for the friends and fans. Every album he created has no comparison in the world.

He was my inspiration
I grew up in Michael Jackson's era and but he was already a legend by then. I remember watching his video Bad and I was awed by his moves. My first reaction was 'Wow. Who is that?' And since then I have watched each and every video of his. He was my inspiration, my mentor. So much has been said and written about his personal life but honestly, I am not much concerned about his personal life. In front of his talent, the controversies are nothing. He created history with his break dance and what I like the most was his smooth moon walk. I am who I am because of MJ.
I was looking forward for his tour in London; I was all set to see the legend perform one more time. It's just shocking to hear about his sudden dismissal. He would be remembered by everyone. He made a difference not only to my life but in others too.

He is the real break dancer
I was part of the troupe in the Michael Jackson concert during his tour to India. He is such a warm person; I learned a lot watching him perform. He was a great performer and entertainer. He had so much energy itjust amazed me. I have learned my dancing from him. And it's not just his dancing but also his singing. The way he sang was different from any other singer, which gave him his uniqueness. His songs will remain evergreen like him.
It is indeed a very sad day for the dance and the music industry. He would be missed by everyone. Moon walk and break dance came into recognition because of Michael Jackson. His death at such a young age is shocking because there was more to him.

I don't know how to react to the news. It's shocking because he was only 50 and ready to make a comeback in London. Music grew in me while listening to his albums. Wherever he went he created history with his fan following.

This is a very bad day for me.His music was exceptional and no one in this world can ever come close to it. His true fan will never let him down; the controversies made by the media can not destroy his image. Even after his death, he will forever live.

Michael Jackson's dancing style impeccably matched his song which made him iconic for me. No-one can ever match up to him. He had a different style all-together - singing as well as dancing. His history, his growth in the western pop music culture was immense and steady. Michael was an international figure with a huge fan following from India too. I don't think anybody can replace his stature.

Dancing became my passion when I saw a video of the song Dangerous of Michael Jackson. In my school, everybody called me Michael Jackson because I imitated his moon walk. His style was different. I had great desire to see him perform which is now shattered.
Favourite Song --Dangerous

I am not a great fan of Michael Jackson but always heard his name through media and with my friends.. Even in a small town boy or girl knows there was a great dancer whose name is Michael Jackson. He was truly an international star.
