Mumbai is ready to cycle its way up

Would do that, if office was nearby
I would like to be optimistic. Keeping in mind the many cycling enthusiasts and environment lovers, I hope more  people take up cycling and adopt it as a mode of transportation. However, in today’s fast-paced life, I doubt if the trend would catch on. The offices are far way and there is too much traffic on the congested roads. Also, it won't be possible for the authorities to make separate lanes for cyclists; where is the space? If my office was near my residence, I wouldn't mind cycling.

Concrete separation needed to avoid mishaps
It would be great if Mumbai has a separate track for cyclists on the roads. It will be  good not only for the environment, but will also help in reducing traffic and noise pollution. Moreover, people's health will improve. I will definitely opt for short distances, but am not sure if I can cycle to my office as the distance between my home and work is too much. It will also take longer to reach work. It has to be a well-thought outproject as chances of accidents are more. Separation has to be concrete.

Will be a hit among conscious citizens
There should be cycling tracks connecting the whole city. I think many will opt for it and it will be a great initiative for a space-starved city.  It will be a great hit because it is a healthy alternative to avoid traffic jams and reaching places without spending money. However, I think it will be not a good option during peak hours as cyclists will inhale more polluted gas which is a worrisome fact. The authorities will have to create awareness campaigns to make sure people opt for it.

It will ease traffic, parking problems
In a city like Mumbai, people will opt for cycling because it is an ideal way to combat problems like traffic and parking. With an increasing population, the number of vehicles are increasing too. This has lead to parking and congestion problems. More number of cycles can be parked in a smaller area. It would also serve as a good form of exercise. The government must encourage people and build cycling tracks as it will also reduce dependency on taxis and auto rickshaws.
