The Fab Four sang “There’s something in the rain”. Most people we spoke to felt the same in spite of the civic mess it brings along.
Love everything about the season
Yes. I do find the rains very romantic, everything looks so beautiful. It is great to even be at home with family, watch TV and sip coffee or simply go to a seaside promenade to enjoy the rains along with having some hot bhutta. I simply love the monsoons and I would love to go out with my friends and simply enjoy this season getting soaked. After the sweltering summer season, everything about this season is appealing to me. I would love to catch sight of a rainbow as well when I am out with my friends.

Enjoy it with a steaming cuppa
Juhu Beach, Marine Drive, Worli, Bandstand are the most beautiful places in the city during rains. So, how can one not get romantic? With monsoon comes the beautiful weather which brings people closer over a cup of steaming tea or coffee. However, the government should be more prepared for the season to avoid any drainage problems and traffic snarls which are part of the season. If one eliminates these things then monsoons is the most beautiful season the city witnesses.

Minus the filth, just love it
I strongly feel the Mumbai rain has a kind of romantic feel. Worli sea face during this season makes the atmosphere pleasant and induces one to get cozy. Next week I am getting married so I will be able to enjoy the weather with my partner as well. But I don’t like the traffic, train hassles, water logging, filth and the diseases along with the season. However, it’s the garma garam bhajiyas and pakodas that really make my day during monsoons.

It reminds me of someone special
When we say it’s ‘raining’, a picture of love, romance or tears comes to our mind. Finally monsoon has arrived in Mumbai and I was eagerly awaiting it. I totally love the rains especially because of some memories that I have with my loved ones. This season reminds me of someone very special who is extremely important in my life. I also remember the July 26 floods in Mumbai which caused havoc for many but these past incidents don’t scare me.

City weaves a magical moment
The rainy season is very romantic. Though Mumbai might not feature in the top 10 romantic cities of the world but for me in the rains, the city weaves a magic. It feels like there’s some natural beauty around me and I fall in love with nature all over again. Sitting on the rooftops with the hot chai and pakodas with some intelligent conversations is like an aphrodisiac. Though the torrential rains can be a pain, I enjoy them too much to get bothered by some inconvenience.

For many, it’s season of love
Monsoon is the aptly known to make an individual romantic and behave like a kid too. I think it should be called the season of love, especially for those who have just fallen in love. Although Mumbai monsoons make travelling a problem sometimes, it’s not very bad. According to me, a candle light dinner at a sea-facing restaurant or a long drive is an awesome way to enjoy Mumbai monsoon. Despite all the floods and water logging, there’s nothing specifically that I dislike about Mumbai monsoons.
