Communication helps educate children better
Alcoholism cannot be linked to urban society alone, even in rural sector there is large consumption of alcohol. Apart from other celebrations, even some festivals are also celebrated with alcoholic drinks. This is because it’s associated with pleasure and joy. People are labeled ‘bad’ if they drink. Therefore, people pretend that they are non-drinkers but when they get ac chance with friends or others they do it recklessly for enjoyment.There are families where children and parents drink together, it is good as there is open communication and helps in educating children about harmful effects. Government needs to spread awareness about consuming alcohols.

With actors drinking on screen, drinking has been glamorised, which attracts youngsters. Despite restriction on advertising, companies are sponsoring events for establishing their brands. Youngsters want to be associated with such brands.
