Mumbai: It will be a change to see a new Mickey Mouse after ages. I have never been a great fan of the character, but I found him sweet and charming. The new persona where he will be adventurous and enthusiastic will add a new twist. The new generation has many other characters to follow, therefore this change might help Mickey to be popular with this generation too.

Mickey's character doesn't need any change. He is an all-time classic, and endears himself not only to kids but people who have grown up watching the cartoon. I cannot understand why Disney is toying with the idea. Maybe they think he needs modernisation which I don't think is a good idea. I like the old Mickey Mouse and would like to see him more often.

Mickey Mouse is more than a cartoon character. He is a brand in himself. Therefore, I'm not sure if the change will benefit the cartoon character or not. We will have to wait till it's out and see how people respond to it. I don't like the idea of changing the characteristics of an animation character, which has been there for decades. All Disney characters have certain traits and they are loved because of them. Disney should rethink its decision. --Rahul Rao
Mickey Mouse is a historic character and I don't think its image should be changed at all. I guess since Disney is getting competition from other cartoon characters, since most popular cartoon characters are action heroes today, therefore they are changing his personality. I like Mickey Mouse the way he is, sweet, charming, and friendly. They must keep him the way he is.
