A report recently released by the Global Monitor Study shows that 77% of Indians between the age of 26 and 30 have no time to socialise or indulge in their hobbies. While young India is hard at work, the daily commute to work, deadlines, and pressure to succeed add to their already stressful lives.
What’s more, another study by an Indian institute attributes an alarming increase in the risk of heart diseases among young Indians to obesity and an unhealthy lifestyle. But thanks to the ever rising prices of food, fuel and real estate, slowing down at work is not an option for most while a healthy lifestyle requires a considerable investment of time and money.
Could the lack of recreation and extreme pressure coupled with an unhealthy lifestyle spell doom for young India? Given that slowing down at work isn’t an option, what could be the best way to combat this deadly combination? Do you know of individuals who have successfully struck a balance?
