Every moment is God’s gift to us: Sikandar Kharbanda

I am not religious but I am spiritual. Spirituality to me is like a bridge which connects my conscious and my soul with the almighty. I don’t have a guru as yet but there are many who have played a significant role in my life. I have always believed in following my instincts and I think spirituality has helped me in following my instincts.

I try to connect my higher self through prayers and kind deeds, which every man should do in his life. I see God in my son’s happy face and it makes me feel good. I forget all my tiredness and worries and my face lits up by just looking at him. There’s no time set aside for connecting to God but one can remember him anytime and anywhere. Every moment of everyday is a gift so in that way. I feel that I am all the time connected to him. I do not have to take out special time for praying or to connect with the almighty.

As a kid, I would pray real hard for good grades. I think most of the kids do that. I got them even when I was sure I would not. God is great. He is the one who has helped me to trust him more and more with each passing day.
