Chinese video blogger accidentally consumes toxic plant resembling aloe vera during livestream; ends up in hospital

A Chinese video blogger who goes by the name of Zhang accidentally poisoned herself during one of her live streams. During the video blog where she was explaining the benefits of consuming raw aloe vera, 

According to The Sun, Zhang, however, consumed 'Agave Americana', a plant that physically resembles aloe vera, but is toxic in nature. She then began reacting unnaturally, which made her fans realise that something was wrong.  

 Zhang said she couldn't feel her mouth and her throat was on fire. she rushed herself to the nearest hospital for check up. According to Cornell University: “Agave Americana has several toxic compounds, not all of which have been positively identified. She happened to loose her voice after 3 bites of the plant and doctors say that she is also suffering from severe blisters and rashes all over her body. 

The plant contains extremely irritating substance calcium oxylate raphides (microscopic daggers of crystaline oxylate) as well as some other really irritating oils in the sap.
