I recently met a guy who said he has been in a relationship with you. I was very impressed because I look up to you — we were in the same college and have always admired you but couldn’t say it. It’s a big thing for me that he has dated you and is then hitting on me.

But I’m suspicious whether this guy has seriously dated you and should I date him? I asked him for proof but he didn’t have any so I thought I should ask you directly.

He seems like a nice guy but my friend thinks he may be using your name to lure me as he knows how much I admire you. Please tell me what I should do!

Hi Mr Ex Dilemma,

I really don’t know how to react to this! I have been in two relationships — haven’t dated this person who claims to have dated me. The important thing here is — if you like him and you understand each other, it really shouldn’t matter if he has dated someone in the past or whom he has dated.

Personally, I think this guy is quite the p****. If he is using me as bait, you already know that you should consider moving on to someone who is not as thirsty.

I admire the love and respect you have for me. It’s sweet of you but I mean come on, you are your own person. You don’t need to be reassured that you’re fabulous, not even by someone who you look up to. You need to trust your instinct and go with that. There will be a lot of people who say a lot of things but you shouldn’t believe them unless it can be validated.

Until then, if he’s hot, you could totally go out with him and then give him KLPD for lying and trying to impress you by using such tactics.
