New 11.6-inch Samsung tablet to challenge Apple’s iPad 2

South Korean multinational conglomerate Samsung is reportedly working on a tablet with a thinner bezel and is likely to launch it at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next year.

According to BGR.com, Samsung is working on an 11.6-inch screen-size tablet, but it will be approximately the same size as the current wide-bezelled Galaxy Tab 10.1-inch and feature 2560 x 1600 resolution.

The current Apple iPad 2 offer 1024 x 768 pixels in a 9.7-inch screen.

Apple and Samsung have been locked in a battle over patents and any revisions to the Samsung product range are likely to make it less similar to the iPad 2, the Telegraph reports.

The new tablet will run Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and offer a 16:10 aspect ratio while running from a dual-core Exynos 5250 processor clocked at 2GHz.
