Late Steve Jobs has been named the most fascinating celebrities of 2011, according to Barbara Walters’ annual The Ten Most Fascinating People of the year.
While the Apple co- founder was the winner, Simon Cowell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet (of Modern Family ), Derek Jeter, Donald Trump, Katy Perry, Pippa Middleton, Amanda Knox (who was accused of murder), Herman Cain, and The Kardashian sisters were distant runners-up.
Last year’s list included Tiger Woods, Sandra Bullock, LeBron James, the cast of Jersey Shore, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Middleton, Sarah Palin, David Petraeus, Betty White and Mark Zuckerberg.
The 90-minute telecast on ABC fared no better than second place in each half hour, and the network itself wound up in third place for the night.
CBS, with an average of 11.9 million viewers, won the night, followed by Fox with 9.3 million, ABC with 7.2 million and NBC with 3.8 million, Contactmusic reported.
