Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) will conduct a full duration (200 seconds) static test of the liquid core (L110) stage for the GSLV Mark-III launch vehicle at its Mahendragiri facility in Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu on September 8.
“The first such test was aborted following a minor leak in the configuration of a unit, but the problem has been rectified,” PS Veeraraghavan, director of Isro’s Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, said.
Isro chairman K Radhakrishnan and Mahendragiri Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre director S Ramakrishnan would also be present, he said.
