Yu Yureka S launched in India at Rs 12,999; features 5.2-inch display, 13MP camera

YU Televentures, the subsidiary of Micromax, has launched a new smartphone in the Indian market dubbed the YU Yureka S. The device is priced at Rs 12,999 and will be available via online and offline retailers in a black color variant.

In terms of specifications, the device packs in a 5.2-inch FHD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 423 ppi. It uses Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with 3GB RAM. It also includes Adreno 405 GPU and supports OpenGL ES 3. Running Android Lollipop, the smartphone packs in an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.

It comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera along with f/2.2 aperture and single tone LED flash and a MP front facing camera. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and microUSB port. A 3000mAh battery completes the package. The smartphone is rated to deliver 3 hours of talk time and lasts up to 450 hours of standby. The Yureka S measures 154.8 x 78 x 8.5 mm and weighs roughly 172 grams.
