Yu Yunicorn's first flash sale will take place today at 2PM; exclusively via Flipkart

Recently, Micromax's sub-brand YU Televentures introduced the Yu Yunicorn at Rs 12,999 in India. The device will go on its first flash sale today at 2PM, exclusively via Flipkart. It can also be pre-booked till 1PM today. It will be available in Rush Silver and Graphite color variants while the limited-edition version will be available in Rush Gold colour respectively.

In terms of specifications, the Yu Yunicorn features a 5.5-inch FHD display with a pixel density of 405ppi. It sports a metal body along with a 2.5D glass on the front. It is powered by an octa core MediaTek Helio P10 processor paired with 4GB RAM. The device features an internal storage of 32GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, which is named ‘Android on Steroids’. It is expected to upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow within a month after the launch. The Around Yu 2.0 offers users various services such as Zomato, Ola, Uber and Ixigo. The company also introduced Yu Wallet, which will allow users to make payments. It also sports a fingerprint sensor and comes with DTS Sound support.

The device comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front facing camera. On the connectivity front, the smartphone includes 4G LTE support, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

It is powered by a 4000mAh battery and includes fast charging support. It is rated to deliver up to 20 hours of talk time and 500 hours of standby time.
