Xiaomi to launch Mi Drone in China on May 25

Xiaomi will now introduce a drone! The company released an official teaser, offering a glimpse of its Mi drone which will launch on May 25 in China.

A report by techupdate3 points out that Xiaomi has been working on their drone for a long time now, with patents appearing in China for a drone that can be controlled via a wearable and simply gestures.

On the rumour front, the device could include 4K recording at 30FPS, 1080p at 100 FPS, 60 FPS or 30 FPS and also support optical flow positioning technology. Not much has been shared regarding any specifications for the drone. According to the report, Xiaomi’s Lei Jun added that the company is also developing related technologies for wireless charging, curved display, virtual SIM card and robot products.

Apart from the Mi drone, Xiaomi also plans to unveil the Mi Band 2 and new Mi VR devices in the coming months.
