Xiaomi will announce the Redmi Note 4 in India today. The device will be exclusively available via e-commerce portal, Flipkart. You can watch the live stream below:
The device was earlier unveiled in China in August last year. Though the device sports MediaTek deca-core processor, Xiaomi is rumoured to launch a Qualcomm processor variant in India.
The device was made available in two variants namely, 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage at CNY 899 (approximately Rs 9,000) and 3GB RAM/64GB internal storage at CNY 1,199 (approximately Rs 12,000). It is available in silver, gold and Dark grey color variants.
In terms of specifications, the device packs in a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution along with a 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor paired with 2GB/3GB RAM. The device also includes a microSD card which can be expanded up to 128GB.
Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top, it comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. It also includes a 5MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth and GPS. A 4100mAh battery completes the package.
