Watch: East India Comedy explains Free Basics and Net Neutrality in under 60 seconds

After AIB, another popular YouTube channel, East India Comedy has come forward with support to 'Save the internet' campaign. In their latest video, they explain the difference between Net Neutrality and Facebook's Free Basics in under a minute.

As Facebook intensifies the battle for Free Basics, retaliation too is coming with the same force. For now, the rollout of Free Basic has been put on hold after the instruction from TRAI. TRAI has issued a new consultation paper on differential pricing for data services. The deadline for recommendations and comments on the topic is set at December 30.

The Free Basics service, which has been in the midst of net neutrality debate, is said to offer free access to a set of basic websites and services with the objective of introducing internet to the people. The Internet.org project was recently renamed as Free Basics after it received a lot of criticism earlier this year on going against the concept of net neutrality.
