Vodafone launches 'Vodafone Music' — new service to enhance user experience via mobile internet

The main feature of this service are audio and video streaming, audio and video downloads, search options and sharing options.

Leading telecom service provider in the country, Vodafone India launched Vodafone Music, an service that will allow its customers to experience music via mobile Internet.

This service offers a wide range of music content, which consumers can access on their WAP browsers or through an application.

The app has been launched only in the Android market. Windows and iPhone users will get the app soon. The main feature of this service are audio and video streaming, audio and video downloads, search options and sharing options. The app will further be updated and will include features like cloud sync, radio, playlist sharing and predictive search.

"Vodafone Music is designed to perfectly fit the digital generation. It's simple, immediate and unique. This service offers a large selection of music genres with incredible personalisation that enables our entire customer base to enjoy and discover new music for free at the touch of a button," Vodafone India Chief Commercial Officer Vivek Mathur said at the launch event in Hard Rock Cafe.

Audio and video streaming is free. However, the user has to pay to download content.

Prices:
Rs 3 per single song
Rs 10 for 5 songs
Unlimited download packages: Rs 99 per month, Rs 29 per week and Rs 5 per day are also available

Vodafone Music is developed by Hungama Digital Media Entertainment. The service is not available on Wifi and works only on mobile internet.
