Video: Boeing has just demonstrated their new 787-9 Dreamliner

Boeing has just showed off a video of its new ANA Highlight 787-9 Dreamliner, the same aircraft which is due to perform July 11-13, at the Farnborough International Airshow.

The footage was recorded in Moses Lake, Washington, and offers a glimpse of the performance and capabilities of the new aircraft. According to a press statement, ANA made history by becoming the launch customer of the 787 Dreamliner and makes history again by becoming the first Japanese airline to take part in a demonstration flight at a major international airshow. The airplane is specially marked with decals prominently featuring Mount Fuji and cherry blossoms, two iconic symbols of Japan.

According to the company, 571 orders have been placed for the 787-9 by 38 customers worldwide. During the airshow, Boeing also plans to highlight its single-aisle 737 MAX, a new CargoLogicAir 747-8 freighter, the P-8A Poseidon multi-mission military aircraft and the F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter.
