Twitter has announced a new Republic Day emoji that will be available till January 27.
The emoji on the social networking site looks like a digital representation of the Indian tricolour.
“Twitter is the go-to platform for people to join in live, public conversations over their interests, cultural moments and big public events taking place around the world. Emojis have become a popular form of expression on our platform, and are a fun way to be part of conversations across borders. We are thrilled to give users a new way to join in the public conversation on Republic Day," said Raheel Khursheed, head of news, government and politics partnerships at Twitter India in a blog post.
To access the Republic Day emoji while tweeting, users will have to use these hashtags: #RepublicDay #HappyRepublicDay #RepublicDay2017. The emoji can also be activated in several Indian languages.
