Twitter introduces ‘Live’ in-app Periscope button for iOS, Android

In a recent Tweet, Twitter announced that users can expect to see a new ‘Live’ button in their iOS and Android apps. This button will enable users to instantly launch a real-time video broadcast to their followers.

The shortcut basically launches the Periscope app (or enables you to download it if you don’t already have it )

After Twitter announced acquiring the live streaming service in March last year, this move appears to be the next logical step in integrating the app with their mobile client. It is left to be seen whether Periscope will continue to exist as a standalone app or be integrated with the Twitter mobile client at some point.

For now, it just got a whole lot easier to flaunt that vacation resort to your followers.
