1. NBA Playgrounds - Reveal trailer

2-on-2 basketball matches reminiscent of arcade great "NBA Jam," featuring real NBA players, outrageous dunks, and a variety of courts. Aiming for a May 2017 release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

2. Quake Champions - Raw Gameplay trailer

Speed, movement, and accuracy -- central tenets of the "Quake" franchise's approach to versus multiplayer -- all on display here in an excerpt from a fluid round of combat ahead of a public test event starting April 6 (quake.bethesda.net/en/signup.) Windows PC.

3. Persona 5 - launch trailer

Incredibly well-received entry to a franchise of adventures that pair high school concerns with Jungian psychological concepts. An unusually strict approach to streaming from developer Atlus may limit the amount of material available to view outside of official videos. Available worldwide on PlayStation 4.

4. Knuckle Sandwich - 2017 update

Work a dull diner job while simultaneously investigating a dangerous small-town conspiracy complete with Pet cats, gym memberships, queues, dancing, and super weird battles. There's nothing wrong with an obvious homage to beloved role-playing classic "Earthbound" (see also "Undertale," "OneShot") especially when it's as charmingly innovative as this PC and Mac title from a one-person Australian studio. Mac and PC, unspecified date.

5. The Wild Eternal - Ambience: Wakening Lands trailer

Two minutes of orange-hued valley and mountain soundscape. The full game is inspired by concepts of reincarnation -- and successfully escaping the cycle -- as the player travels through the Himalayan region in search of lasting peace. Windows PC, April 13.

6. Golf for Workgroups

What if golf was just some kind of ultra-odd corporate activity? Oh, uh, it kind of already is. Well then, let's turn it up to ridiculously strange, courtesy of this long-in-gestation effort and go all-out in justifying it as a cutting-edge business pursuit. Immediately available as an early access title on PC.
