Tizen OS-powered Samsung Z2 launched in India at Rs 4,590; comes pre-loaded with Jio services

Previously, Samsung launched the Z1 and Z3 in India priced at Rs 3,785 and Rs 5,590 respectively.

Samsung has introduced another Tizen OS-powered smartphone in India dubbed Z2. The device is priced at Rs 4,590 and will be available starting August 29. It will come in Gold, Black and Wine Red color variants. Samsung Z2 also comes with a complimentary invitation to the Jio Preview Offer to avail free voice and data services in the trial period. Z2 users will also get complimentary access to premium Jio applications – My Jio, Jio on Demand, Jio Beats – with unlimited options of movies, TV shows and songs across multiple languages during the Jio Preview offer. 

In terms of specifications, the device features a 4-inch WVGA display with a 480x800 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Running Tizen OS, the device includes in internal storage of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

It sports a 5MP rear camera along with a 0.3MP front facing camera. A 1500mAh battery completes the package. The device is rated to deliver up to 8 hour of 4G browsing.
