Tim Cook says Apple Watch will be the 'first smartwatch that matters'

CEO Tim Cook has described Apple's much-awaited watch as "the first modern smartwatch — the first one that matters."

Cook said that Apple's newest device has received mixed reactions so far, but would be received by people once they have them, in the same way as the iPod and iPhone were received, The Verge reported.

The Apple Chief also discussed the company's strategy for product development and shared his views on having separate teams for development of hardware, software and services by saying that it could damage the quality of the product and it does not deliver optimal user experience.
