In an episode that only underscores the innocent tenacity that comes naturally to children, a school girl from Britain decided to write to the “Google boss” and express her desire to join the company. And she was lucky enough to receive a reply from the boss himself, Sundar Pichai.

In her surprisingly articulate one-page letter, Chloe Bridgewater described how much she likes computers and playing on her tablet, especially a game one that involves guiding a robot through squares. She quotes riding carts, going down slides and sitting in being bags as being the main reasons she’d like to work at Google’s office. Perhaps one of the most heartening lines in her letter is one that says, “My dad told me to give you a (sic) application to get a job in google. I don't really know what one of them is but he said a letter will do for now.”

To the little girl’s surprise, she received a letter from Pichai himself saying, “If you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to -- from working at Google to swimming in the Olympics.” His reply he referenced points she mentioned in her letter earlier, while offering words of encouragement. The kicker is the last line that says, “I look forward to your job application when you are finished with school.” He also added a smiley at the end.

Chloe’s father Andy Bridgewater shared Pichai’s letter on his LinkedIn wall. He highlighted the fact that his daughter went through a traumatic experience earlier in the year when she got knocked down by a car, stating that she lost a great deal of confidence during the time. But he added that receiving this letter has delighter her, urging her to be even more eager to do well at school and eventually work for Google. He went on to thanking Pichai for having taken out the time to “make a little girl's dream become one step closer.”

His LinkedIn post has received over 137,000 reactions and 3,800 comment since it was originally shared.
