Sony's virtual reality headset has finally been given a name; it's now officially titled PlayStation VR. The Japanese company made the announcement at their Tokyo Games Show press conference today.
Previously titled Project Morpheus (which, frankly, was a much cooler name), the VR headset, as well as a few games that utilise it, are available for demo on the show floor. This official announcement puts Sony smack dab in the middle of a battle for virtual reality gaming, with Facebook's Oculus Rift, Valve and HTC's Vive.

Sony hasn't yet announced when the PlayStation VR will be available, but we can likely expect it to drop in 2016. Take a look at the trailer for headset, and tell me that doesn't get you excited.
