Sony launches SRS-XB3 ultra-bass wireless speaker for Rs 12,990

Sony on Monday revealed new audio hardware, the SRS-XB3 wireless speaker. The “Extra Bass Portable Wireless Speaker”, as it is advertised, is available in India for Rs 12,990 at major electronics stores.

The SRS-XB3 features a 48mm full range driver,with embedded magnet and long stroke, to give “deep, punchy bass,” as well as an in house-built digital sound processor. Also present are dual passive radiators, and native LDAC audio coding to improve wireless audio transmission threefold. The company claims the SRS-XB3 can deliver Hi-Res audio quality over Bluetooth.

Weighing in at 930g, the speaker is water-resistant, can run up to 24 hours on a single charge of the 8800mAh battery, and can even act as a charger with the on board USB port. The device supports both Bluetooth and NFC connectivity, and two units of the speaker can also be simultaneously connected to a single device.

The SRS- XB3 is available inBlack, Blue, and Red colours, and is priced at Rs 12,990.
