Samsung unveils 'Gear 2' and 'Gear 2 Neo' on Twitter

Tech enthusiasts were pleasantly surprised this morning with Samsung's latest revelations on Twitter. Tech genius Pravav Mistry, who is also the director of research for Samsung, tweeted pictures of the companies latest flagship offering, the 'Gear 2' and 'Gear 2 Neo', a follow up to their Galaxy Gear.

The showcased gadgets appear to be more sleek than their predecessors that were known to be a little on the 'bulkier side'. And even though the devices retains some of the earlier specs, such as 1.63in 320x320 AMOLED display and 512MB of RAM, they run on Samsung’s own Tizen operating system and not Android.

Apart from that, the latest Gear watches will hold 4GB of internal memory and can also be sychronised with Samsung smartphones via Bluetooth 4.0.

One of the tweets, show that the gadgets also boast of an integrated heart rate monitor at the back of the smartwatch.
