Samsung announces pricing for new Galaxy J5 and Galxy J7

Both smartphones are priced in the mid-range segment, and have been launched in South Korea so far.

Samsung announced their Galaxy J5 and J7 smartphones in China earlier this year, but refrained from revealing any pricing at the time. Now, the company has officially revealed the price tags on both phones at a launch in South Korea.

The Galaxy J5 has been priced at KRW 290,000 (approximately Rs 17,000), while the Galaxy J7 has been priced at KRW 363,000 (approximately Rs. 21,200). Both smartphones feature metal frames and run Android 6.0, as well as support 4G connections. The J5 and J7 feature a f/1.9 13MP rear camera and a f/1.9 5MP front camera.

The Galaxy J5 runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB RAM. It has 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB) and packs a 5.2-inch HD (1280x720) display at 282ppi and is powered by a 3100mAh battery. The phone is available in White, Black, Gold,and Rose Gold.

The Galaxy J7, meanwhile, runs on a 1.6GHz octa-core processor with 2GB RAM, and has 16GB storage (expandable up to 128GB). It features a 5.5-inch HD (1280x720) display at 267ppi and is powered by a 3300mAh battery. It’s available in the same colours as the J5.
