Reliance Jio Prime membership: All you need to know

Mukesh Ambani made a huge announcement regarding Reliance Jio. Customers owning a Jio SIM card will soon be able to register for Reliance  Jio Prime membership programme. 

At the end of Reliance Jio’s 'Happy New Year' unlimited free voice and data offer which discontinues after March 31, users will have to avail for tariff plans from April 1, 2017 onwards.

Customers that have taken a Reliance Jio SIM before or on March 31, can register to buy a Jio Prime Membership. Users will have to pay a one-time fee of Rs 99 for the membership which can be purchased starting from March 1 until March 31, 2017. 

After March 31, the Reliance Jio service available during the telecom giant’s 'Happy New Year' period can be used for another 12 months by  Jio  Prime members for Rs 303 per month. Jio Prime members can also access Jio media services for free till March 31, 2018.

Users can register for a Jio Prime membership on the MyJio app, company’s website and through Jio offline stores. 

Mukesh Ambani said that Jio will match tariff plans that other telecom companies in India offer in addition to offering 20 percent more data than competitors.

During the conference, Mukesh Ambani also announced that over 100 million customers availed for the Reliance Jio service in 170 days and customers downloaded 100 crore GB of data in January 2017 alone. This has helped India become the country that uses the most data in the world.
